Why G&M?

Why Garrett & Moore?

  • Our team has worked together for over 20 years addressing challenges, completing projects and solving problems to meet our client's needs.
  • Clients we worked with then, we work with today.
  • We understand the issues of owners, developers, landfill owners and operators, consistently providing successfull solutions.
  • We partner with you to realize your objectives, both focused and general.
  • We approach issues from your perspective, offering and factoring owner, operator, consultant, engineer, regulator and general public point of views.

But we start by listening.

Since the promulgation of new solid waste regulations in SC in May 2008 we have prepared

  • 6 landfill siting studies
  • 7 applications for a permit to construct

All for unique, Class Three landfills in South Carolina.

In the last 5 years, Garrett & Moore has provided construction administration & CQA services for $42 Million worth of covered landfill, lined pond & final cover projects. When it comes to investigating existing ash surface impoundments, Garrett & Moore is an industry leader. We successfully completed one ash pond closure project and we have investigated & prepared closure plans for two additional ash pond closure projects. This experience places us above our peers on the "learning curve" for closure of ash ponds.

When engineering complex civil & environmental projects, solving one problem can have unintentiional consequences. Through our experience we have become proficient at anticipating the "domino effect" of engineering decisions.

Our clients turn to Garrett & Moore repeatedly, because of an exceptional ability to anticipate potential problems & prevent the mistakes along the way.

In today's regulatory environment, when it comes to permitting landfills, one theme holds true: experience counts.

Garrett & Moore brings it.
